Therese Rose moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1991 to study translation at the then-named Monterey Institute of International Studies. After earning her masters degree, she worked as an in-house translator at Siemens in the SF Bay area for seven years. In 2002, she launched her freelance translation business and taught German-to-English translation at MIIS for seven years.
In 2018, Therese joined the real estate team at the Highlands Inn in the Carmel Highlands, where she met Onyx, Broker of Ocean Pacific Realty Group. She obtained her real estate license and notary commission. While working with the team, she became the unofficial office administrator and assistant to the department director. She made sure the I’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed while, in a colleague s words, providing a level of customer service that doesn’t exist anymore. She strove to provide the best experience for guests and owners while supporting the real estate team in any way she could. She also worked with Shankle Realty and then Coldwell Banker until 2024. For 18 years, Therese has served as an HOA board director for her community, working as the primary contact for vendors and point of contact for owners.
She has a passion for helping people and making sure things are done right. When she is not working, Therese enjoys outdoor activities such as long-distance running, cycling, hiking, and gardening. She also plays cribbage, reads, and volunteers at her church. Additionally, she maintains on active status with Monterey Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
